Hi, I'm Yara.
I'm an AI engineer (new chapter! p.2) who still thinks in Ruby, a speaker who asks slightly-too-big questions, and on weekends I squish air-dry clay and smudge oil pastels.
→ this notebook is where I think out loud: code, art, philosophy, and learning AI in public.

how I got here
Plot twist: I didn't start coding out of passion. It was practical. To connect with it, I had to make logic appealing to a dreamy mind: first through art, then philosophy, now AI.
- prologue · 2020
the practical choice
Computer engineering. Code was sensible, not a calling, yet.
- chapter 1 · 2022
Rails @ Factorial
User-focused web app, a soft spot for clean code, and mentoring, bridging vision and development.
- chapter 2 · 2025-26
on stage
Painting meets programming at Helvetic Ruby. Then Plato, Aristotle, Hegel and Kant walk into a Rails talk.
- chapter 3 · now ★
AI engineer
Factorial. AI raised the floor on how; I’m here for the why.

About a talk, an AI project, clay tips, or a question you can't stop thinking about. I read every one.
